Crosby is a gentle giant with a one-of-a-kind personality who loves to play tug with his pet guardian, Don. Three years ago, Crosby went in for a routine allergy shot, when his vet found something that looked like a tumor. After further examination, Crosby was diagnosed with Anal Gland Adenocarcinoma, an uncommon cancer in the walls of the anal sacs. Don opted to have Crosby’s tumor removed, but shortly after the surgery, the vet discovered that the cancer had returned.
After the second surgery, Crosby suffered from severe diarrhea & GI issues. Don took Crosby to three different vets, who prescribed different medications, tried accupuncture, and administered massage. He was motivated to find anything to help ease Crosby’s discomfort.
Then, Don found Medicus Veterinary Diets. Within the second feeding of the Bland Diet, Crosby’s diarrhea was completely gone. After two weeks on the Medicus Bland Diet, Don transitioned Crosby to the Medicus Sensitive Stomach Diet. After a month on the Sensitive Stomach Diet, not only has the diarrhea stopped, but his energy is better and weight is back to normal.
Crosby now spends his days going on morning walks, sitting in the front yard to keep watch on the neighborhood, and getting belly rubs. Crosby will be 11 in February.
